Box Tops for Education

Bell School has collected Box Tops for Education for quite some time now, but there’s a feeling in the air that we’re going to outdo ourselves this year! We’ve got some great clippers out there and we just added (we hope) a wonderful group of new enthusiasts.

Kindergarten and preschool parents: Here’s your turn to shine. When you shop for your children’s snacks, lunch box contents, and dinner favorites, look for the Box Tops for Education symbol; there are hundreds of participating products. For each top you clip, Bell School earns ten cents. That may not sound like a lot, but when you put 300+ families to work, it can really add up. And this is found money! You don’t spend any more than you normally would on your shopping, and Bell benefits.

Clipping isn’t the only way to participate in Box Tops for Education. Got to www.boxtops4education.com and check out the Box Tops Marketplace (where shopping online is safe, easy, and earns Bell money… up to 15% on all purchases!). Also take a look at the Box Tops Reading Room, where you can shop for books at Barns and Noble and 6% of every order goes to Bell!

Our goal for the year is to earn $500 for Bell through Box Tops for Education. We’re already off to a good start with our first submission on October 31. So get clipping, check expiration dates, and make sure your Box Tops for Education are delivered to the attention of Kat Knight at Bell!

Target

We’ve discovered a terrific way to raise funds for Bell. It’s easy, requiring nothing more than using your Target Card. We will receive a percentage of each purchase amount in the form of a cash donation from Target through the Take Charge of Education program.

Please visit target.com/tcoe, or call 1-800-316-6142 to designate our school. If you’re going to Target anyway, please consider using your Target Card and helping to rack up some money for Bell! Thanks to those already participating in the program.

Stop & Shop

From October 9th on make sure you enroll your Stop & Shop card in the A+ BonusBucks program. Simply go to stopandshop.com and navigate to the A+ link. Follow the instructions to register your card. The ID for Bell School is 07175. A+ BonusBucks points will accrue each time you use your card… even through online orders placed with Peapod. Every month these points will determine how much cash our school will receive. So please remember to use your Stop & Shop card!

Crosby’s Register Tapes

When shopping at Crosby’s between September and March, make sure you keep your receipts! Please deposit them in the boxes in the Upper and Lower Bell lobbies. These receipts will bring us points, and these points will allow us to shop in the Register Tapes for Education catalog.

Please remember to save those receipts!

Magic Hat Thrift Shop

The Magic Hat is a thrift shop located on the back side of the Veterans’ Middle School. All schools in the district have the opportunity to volunteer time in the shop. Bell School parents can donate any amount of time during our designated weeks. We raise a significant amount of funds directly correlated to the number of volunteer hours our parents volunteer! We need your help to make the most of this great opportunity.

Please contact Milena Connolly (milena_connolly@hotmail.com) if you are interested in pitching in. This is a very important — and very easy — way to raise a lot of money for Bell! Bring a friend or meet new people “on the job.” It’s a lot of fun.
